Responsible use
Every AI system begins with a defined purpose and documented approach. We consider the people, information, limitations, and decisions affected before it is used.
Information and records
We document the information sources, instructions, access controls, and review steps needed to understand how a system is used and improve it safely.
People and privacy
Before a system uses personal information or confidential business data, we determine the access, consent, privacy protections, and review required. The work does not begin until the appropriate safeguards are in place.
Artificial intelligence
People remain accountable for work produced with artificial intelligence. AI generated material must be reviewed, important claims must be verified, and confidential information must not be submitted to systems that have not been approved for its use.
Security and potential misuse
AI can create new security, safety, and misuse risks. We consider them throughout the work and may restrict access, output, or technical detail where responsible use requires it.
Oversight and conflicts
Financial, personal, customer, or organizational interests that could affect a system must be disclosed. Commercial value does not override privacy, safety, or professional judgment.
Review and correction
Limitations, unexpected results, and failed approaches are part of the record. Material errors are corrected when discovered, and systems are reviewed as the business or technology changes.
